I'm welcoming in the New Year accompanied by some new turquoise, agates and jasper. Happy 2013 and thank you for all your support in 2012!

I'm putting the finishing touches on items (many!) for today's listing but wanted to post a few process pictures, for any of you that missed them on Twitter, Facebook, and Flickr.

Pinks, and for Good Measure, a Few Others

Every year I want to make something for Valentine's Day and I manage to miss it. Not this year! I have five pieces for today in shades of pink and deep wine-perfect for holiday gifts and for any other day of the year. I've also readied an imperial jasper cocktail ring and a stunning labradorite necklace.

Crystalline

It's frosty here this morning. Just a thin icing in exposed areas, sure to disappear at the first hint of sunlight. I rushed out to catch it, enjoying it most as edged our evergreen blueberry bushes at the height of their fall color.




Back inside now with the pups dozing at my feet, a hot mug of Irish breakfast on the bench and a new batch of beckoning stones. Just how I like it.

Snippets from the Weekend

We are back from our island visit, to a place where nothing escapes the sea. Each bit is bent, tumbled and formed into a smooth, muted palette of blue, green, gray and gold. It is unlike the forest where everything comes from and leans on everything else, protected and vibrant. Rather it is harsh and exposed, with all present just a fraction of those that started the journey.

Early Weekend

Hello! Tomorrow I'm heading off to Whidbey Island, for some incredible surroundings and lots (and lots) of family. It will be great to see everyone and I'm sure I will come back on Monday very eager to get back to the bench.
